3rd March 2026 London Ambulance Service has installed 30 additional defibrillators in a bid to eliminate ‘defibs deserts’ in the capital. The London Ambulance Charity’s Heart Starters campaign is installing 200 defibrillators in 150 neighbourhoods in London where there is little access to one of these life-saving devices. When the London Heart Starters campaign launched, analysts at London Ambulance Service (LAS) identified ‘defib deserts’ areas with the worst access to defibrillators. And now, with an additional charity defibrillation co-ordinator role, the Service is ramping up the number of installations across the capital.
January 23, 2026 Acadian Ambulance held a First Responder Appreciation Lunch at the Mowad Civic Center to celebrate local frontline workers. The event brought together first responders, hospital personnel, and Allen Oaks nursing home staff for a meal in recognition of their efforts to the community.
